Part 2: Forming the Face and the Hair
Lesson Overview
Skill Level: advanced
Length: 13 Minutes 28 Seconds
Description:
One of the most important parts of painting photorealism is edges. In this lesson, I will be showing you how to bring the background up to the main subject with ease and finesse. I will show you how you can take a rough texture and merge it with the smooth qualities of the airbrush work on the figure.
Paint for Background: Medium grey of your choice in acrylic. Choose warm instead of cool grey. However, be sure not to have too much magenta in the base of the grey. This chart is a great color source for greys. I like the Flannel Grey and Natural Grey.
