Part 1: The Approach and Image
Lesson Overview
Skill Level: advanced
Length: 10 Minutes 12 Seconds
Description:
In this first video I will be revealing how I choose imagery to tell the best story. I will explain my approach to which steps to do and the correct order so that you paint as efficient as possible. I don’t want you to waste much time when you paint. I will share my formula of painting monochromatic with certain hits of color and how this translates to art that collectors will want to collect for their home.
Paint for Background: Medium grey of your choice in acrylic. Choose warm instead of cool grey. However, be sure not to have too much magenta in the base of the grey. This chart is a great color source for greys. I like the Flannel Grey and Natural Grey.
HI NOAH….im loving the classes so far. your use of light is eye opening. i have a question. i airbrush motorcycles and goalie masks and love using automotive urethanes. I really want to move into canvas art for fun and was wondering if it will eat into the canvas eventually or make it brittle and crack?
Kevin I haven’t done a ton of eurathane on canvas but I know that if you clear it it does well. I suggest doing test canvases small. Glad you’re enjoying the classes!
